Moring rest after long flight. Afternoon sightseeing of Old & New Delhi including Red Fort, India Gate, Qutab Minar & rikshaw ride through the market in Old Delhi.

Fly Delhi – Leh (3506 Mt)

Early morning transfer to domestic airport for flight IT3341 dep. 0610 hr / arr. 0740 hror 9W1609  dep. 0630 hr/ arr. 0745 hr to Leh. Flying  over snow-clad ranges of pristine Himalayan peaks, this is a never-to-be-forgotten travel experience as you arrive in the striking  land of Ladakh in the upper Indus Valley. On arrival transfer to hotel. This afternoon visit the town of Leh, a fascinating labyrinth  of winding streets and quaint bazaars. The spectacular eight-story  Leh Palace, looming above and overlooking the town, was built in the  16th century, about the same time as the Potala Palace in Lhasa.

Afternoon visit Sankar monastery (gompa) situated on a valley floor  right in the town. Sankar is the home for the Geluk-pa sect (yellow).

Leh – Thiksey – Hemis – Shey – Leh (90 km)

Leave early in the morning to enjoy the prayer cermoney at Thiksey monastery and continue drive to Hemis monastery which is one of the main monastery in the region. On the way back visit Shey Palace in the late afternoon return back to Leh. Overnight at Hotel

Leh – Diskit (118 km)

Drive passing through Gangles villages the road then rises to reach Khardongla pass (5600 Mtrs) the world’s highest motor able road. The road then passes through a bridge laid on Glacier which finds its way in Guinness Book of world records. In the afternoon visit Diskit monastery which is 515 years old situated on a hill top giving panoramic view of the valley and evening walk around   town of Diskit. Overnight at Camp.

Morning half day visit to Panamic hot sulpher spring and on the way back visit Samstalling and Sumur monastery.  Afternoon visit  Hunder which is a short drive. Overnight at Camp.

Diskit – Leh (118 km)

Drive back to Leh via Khardongla pass.  Afternoon free for personal activities. Overnight at Hotel.

Leh – Chumathang – Tsomoriri (240 km)

Drive to Korzok enroute visit Chumathang, it is famous for medical hot spring and people visit to this place for medical bath. Continue drive to Tsomoriri. The Lake is famous for wild Gease/Ducks and another kind of wild Birds. The lake is 8 Kms wide  and 28 km long.  Overnight  at Tents.

In the morning visit Korzok village with its houses and its gompa appearing like a mirage. The few barley fields at Korzok must be among the highest cultivation in the world. In the afternoon visit around the Lake.

Tsomoriri – Tsokar – Tanglangla – Leh (245 km)

Drive to Mahe village and the road turns left from here towards Puga. The village is an unforgettable scene of shooting fountain and white clouds hanging upon. This is Butan gas which Puga valley is famous. Continue drive to Tsokar via Polokongka pass (13500 FT) and visit Thukge Gompa in the Tsokar (small Lake). The place is famous for wild asses moving in flocks. Arrive Leh in the evening. Overnight at Hotel.

Leh – Lamayuru (140 km)

After breakfast drive to Lamayuru via Likir, which lies on the right side of Leh-Srinagar road about 4 kms from the main road and is famous for numerous Thankas. The drive up Kangaroo curves is fascinating & provides magnificent view of granite colour rocks & looks like moon land. This monastery is situated below the crust of the Fatu-la, which is the highest point on Srinagar – Leh road. Lamayuru is the site of a very large establishment of gelums (monks) and chumas (nuns). It is the unique and oldest monastery in Ladakh. Overnight at hotel.

Lamayuru – Alchi – Leh

Drive back to Lej en route visit the 1000 year old murals of Alchi monastery. Overnight at Hotel

Leh – Delhi

Transfer to airport to connect flight 9W610 dep. 0735 hr/ arr. 0850 hr or IT3342 dep. 0810 hr / arr. 0925 hr to Delhi. At arrival transfer  to hotel for wash/change. Late night transfer to International airport to connect flight.
